  • IS RUNAWAY BRIDE & DRESS SALES (BRIDAL) APPOINTMENT ONLY?

    Yes, our Bridal store is appointment only. We take pride in offering the best customer service possible and want to ensure you have our full attention. No appointment is necessary to visit the occasion wear and debs/ bridesmaid`s gowns boutique.

  • WHEN SHOULD I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

    We recommend that you make an appointment when you’re ready to make a purchase. Feedback is that it’s best to search magazines and Pinterest, and look through our Instagram for inspiration first – instead of using appointments as research. We say that because you have to feel ready that the very first gown you try on might take your breath away and be the one you need to buy! Once you’re a serious, ready-to-purchase bride – then start appointment making!

    However it’s equally important that you don’t feel rushed, and that our designers have time to make your gown. We recommend beginning to shop at least 9-12 months before your wedding date for our made-to-order gowns.

  • HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?

    Our private fittings are scheduled for one hour and 15 minutes, which seems to be the perfect amount of time to try all the ones you believe could end up being the one!

  • HOW WILL MY APPOINTMENT RUN IN RUNAWAY BRIDE & DRESS SALES?

    So in your first appointment, we will help you select some styles that appeal to you. Most brides find their gown in the first appointment, but please don’t worry if you need to make a second one to be sure! Don’t worry about committing to a gown, everyone feels the nerves of the ‘fear of finding something better` Our advice is – if you love it and you feel it’s the one, then you have to commit to stop looking and just go for it. We will never pressure you to make a purchase, we’re just happy to help you with your decision in any way we can.

    Once you’ve found the gown you love, and you’re sure you want to proceed – you’ll secure it with a 50% deposit. (Please note that once you sign the deposit form, there is no changes, exchange, return or refunds.) We’ll keep in touch with you by mail, and once the gown arrives in store, you’ll come back in for a follow up appointment to pick up your gown and do final inspections. Then you get to take home your wonderful gown.

  • HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

    We can only fit you and four others at a max, you and 3 others ideally. The feedback from other brides is often that the less people you bring with you, the easier you will find it to focus on how the gown makes YOU feel – because at the end of the day that is what’s really important.

  • NEED TO CANCEL OR CHANGE YOUR APPOINTMENT?

    Yes, we kindly ask that you give us at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or re-schedule your fitting. Since we are appointment-only, we thank you in advance for your co-operation, as we take in a very limited amount of brides a day.

  • ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED IN RUNAWAY BRIDE & DRESS SALES?

    Due to the high value and delicate nature of our bridal gowns, we regret that children are not permitted in Runaway Bride & Dress Sales. Sorry!

  • I’M LOOKING FOR BRIDESMAIDS GOWNS TOO!

    We can help you with that! We have a huge range of gowns for your bridesmaids to try on.

  • IS THE WEARING OF TAN PROHIBITED?

    Sorry but yes! We prohibit the wearing of any tanning products when trying on any of the gowns in our store.

Ordering Your Gown Info

  • WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF YOUR GOWNS?

    Our made-to-order gowns range from €1,500 – €3,500 – and yes we have separates too!

  • WHAT DOES MADE-TO-ORDER MEAN WHEN ORDERING MY GOWN?

    Made-to-order means that the making of the gown begins once you place your order. The most important thing to note is that made-to-order gowns are ordered to the closest numerical dress size (UK6/8/10 etc or S/M/L/XL dependent on designer) The gown is not made to the exact measurements of the bride (which is referred to as “made-to-measure” – we do not offer this service). We also recommend a seamstress for any minor alterations there may be.

  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY MADE-TO-ORDER GOWN TO ARRIVE?

    Depending on the designer of the gown you choose, there is a 6-9 month lead time for all made-to-order gowns. We may be able to secure it sooner – but please note, ‘Rush Fees’ will be applied by the designer.

  • DO YOU OFFER/INCLUDE ALTERATIONS?

    No – we are a made-to-order based store and we do not offer alterations. We are happy to recommend a local seamstress who we have had fantastic experience with, but if you proceed with her – that would be your decision and your relationship with her would be separate to your relationship with us.

  • WILL THE DESIGNER MAKE CHANGES OR SEND EXTRA FABRIC?

    No as it is made-to-order, the designer prefers to keep it as close to the original as possible. Any changes they do allow will incur charges too – sorry! Also no designer will send extra fabric.
